Kichcha Sudeep and director Suri may team up once again

There were talks doing rounds in the Kannada film industry that director Suri may be directing Kichcha Sudeep soon. And now, producer Srikanth has confirmed that the project is indeed through. However, it will not go on to the floors immediately as the star is busy with a number of assignments.

The producer has reportedly told in an interview to Cinemaexpress, “Both Suri and Sudeep are busy with their current commitments, and we are planning to take it forward once they sit together for a story narration, and lock the script.”

Sudeep's next release in Sandalwood will be Pailwaan, which is gearing up to hit the marquee on August 9. Produced and directed by S Krishna, this film marks his collaboration with Sudeep for the second time after the massive success of Hebbuli last year.

Incidentally, S Krishna will be making his debut as a producer with Pailwaan by bankrolling it under his banner RRR Productions. Arjun Janya has been roped in to compose the tunes for Pailwaan while Karunakar will be cranking the camera.

Sudeep plays a boxer and wrestler in this flick and being his first ever sports drama, he did undergo a lot of training to learn the nuances of the martial arts. Hollywood stunt director Larnell Stovas has been roped in to choreograph the boxing sequences in Pailwaan.

The star also has Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu and Dabangg 3 in Bollywood needing his attention. Looks like he will hop onto the Suri directorial once he is done with the current assignments.
