The director is currently producing a film to be directed by debutant Eshwar.

Keerthy Suresh, who had film buffs spellbound with her performance as the legendary south Indian actor Savitri in Mahanati, recently won the National Award for Best Actress for the film. The actor was last seen in Thalapathy Vijay’s Sarkar and hadn’t signed any new projects so far in Tamil as she seems to have moved to a phase of doing more female-centric subjects.

The latest update about the actor is that she has been roped in to star in director Karthik Subbaraj’s next untitled production venture. Keerthy took to Twitter to announce the project: “I am super excited to be a part of this thriller with @StonebenchFilms and to join hands with debutant @EashvarKarthic in a @Music_Santhosh sir musical! Can’t wait to start @karthiksubbaraj.”

Karthik Subbaraj also tweeted saying, “Super happy!! Our @StonebenchFilms Production#3 will star the National award winner @KeerthyOfficial, directed by debutant @EashvarKarthic & it’s a @Music_Santhosh musical!!! Need all your blessings & support as always to this new team & the film @kaarthekeyens @onlynikil.”

Last seen playing a cameo in the Nagarjuna starrer Manmandhudu 2, the talented actor is now busy with the heroine-oriented project titled Sakhi. Donning the director’s robes for this flick is debutant Narendra Nath while Mahesh S Koneru is bankrolling it under his banner. Reports indicate that Sakhi is slated for release this Dussehra. Besides this, she has the Nagesh Kukkunoor directorial in her kitty. Touted to be a female-centric film, Keerthy is sure to have a performance-oriented role in this flick. Devi Sri Prasad had been roped in to compose the tunes. Reports say that Reliance Entertainment will be bankrolling it.

There are also reports doing the rounds that Keerthy will be starring opposite Pranav Mohanlal in his next which is to be directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. However, we need to wait for an official confirmation on this.
