National Award winning director Nagesh Kukunoor, known for films such as Hyderabad Blues, Iqbal, Dhank, will soon be directing a female centric Telugu flick. He has roped in Keerthy Suresh to play a lead role in this film which has not been titled yet.

The first schedule of the film wrapped up recently, sources say that Keerthy Suresh will be joining the sets in the second schedule. According to reports, she was offered the role only after an audition and trial shoot. The actor apparently impressed the filmmaker with her performance to such an extent that he immediately decided to sign her on for the project. Touted to be a heroine-oriented film, Keerthy is expected to have a performance oriented role in this Nagesh Kukunoor directorial. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick.  Reports are that Reliance Entertainment will be bankrolling the Nagesh Kukunoor film.

Keerthy Suresh is one of the lucky and talented actors around right now. She has been bagging some of the prestigious projects and is proving that she has the talent to take up every challenging role. The actor has been juggling films in Mollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood successfully and according to latest reports she is getting ready to step into Bollywood. She will be paired opposite Ajay Devgn in a film which will be directed by Amit Sharma. The film will be bankrolled jointly by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta under their respective banners.

Meanwhile, she is keeping busy with a bunch of films on hand, with the most notable being Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. The film is directed by the award winning director Priyadarshan and has Mohanlal playing the title role. This historical also has Prabhu, Suneil Shetty, Siddique, Ashok Selvan, Manju Warrier, Arjun Sarja, and Mukesh in pivotal roles.
