The News Minute | January 2, 2015 | Updated 2.30 pm IST The Karnataka High Court has constituted a Special Bench in order to hear the appeals of the AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa and three others, convicted in the disproportionate assets case.After Supreme Court orders to constitute a special bench to hear the appeals against the conviction,  Justice CR Kumaraswamy will be hearing the appeals on a “day-to-day basis” from Friday , reported The Times of India. However, since Justice Kumaraswamy is on leave, the appeals will be brought forward  before Justice H Billiappa .The new developments come after an apex court asked the Karnataka HC to form a special bench to hear the appeals of Jayalalithaa and three others in their conviction in the Rs. 66.65 crore disproportionate assets case.Jayalalithaa supporters resumed puja and prayers for her on Friday. Rajya Sabha Member and lawyer Navneetha Krishnan was seen in one of the pujas held for the former Chief Minister.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
