It is now clear that Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar’s Mass Leader will hit the silver screen on August 11. Uncertainty prevailed over the release of this film following a title row.
Director AMR Ramesh had filed a case in the court claiming that he had registered the title Leader at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and had obtained a stay on Mass Leader’s release. However, producer K Manju intervened to settle the matter amicably between the parties. With the issue resolved, it is now clear that Mass Leader will make it to the theatres this weekend and cash in on the long Independence Day weekend.
Directed by Narasimha, Mass Leader is produced by Tarun Shivappa and Hardik Gowda under the banner Tarun Talkies. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role with Gururaj Jaggesh, Pranitha Subhash, Vijay Raghavendra, Yogesh, Sharmiela Mandre and Vamsi Krishna included in the star cast. This action thriller has music scored by Veer Samarth with V Nagendra Prasadn penning the lyrics for all the songs. Guru Prashant Rai wielded the camera and KM Prakash edited the film. The film has been shot extensively in various locations in Karnataka, Andhra, Kashmir and Manali.
Shiva Rajkumar’s fans are elated over the news that all hurdles have been cleared for the film’s release and that it is getting ready for release soon.
With Mass Leader’s release date announced, Shiva Rajkumar is gearing up to move over to his next project. He will be joining the sets of The Villain, in which he will be sharing the screen space with Kiccha Sudeep. Sudeep’s portions in the film are being canned now and with Shiva Rajkumar joining the team, their combo scenes are expected to be shot in London.
