Kangana Ranaut has started preparations for her upcoming movie Thalaivi- Jayalalithaa's biopic. Directed by AL Vijay, the story of the film is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who had penned the story for the smash hit movie Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. The film will feature four phases based on Jayalalithaa's life and Kangana will have four different looks in the film. A few weeks ago, producer of the film Vishnu Induri took to Twitter and revealed that Hollywood makeup artist Jason Collins has invited Kangana for a look test. Jason has worked in Captain Marvel, Hunger Games and Blade Runner.  

Kangana left for Los Angeles two days ago for the same look test. Now photos of Kangana doing prosthetic makeup test have come out. Kangana's sister Rangoli posted some pictures on Twitter in which the actor is seen covered in prosthetic gum. With this, Rangoli wrote, "This is how measurements for prosthetics are taken, it’s not easy to be an actor, Kangana so calm even in something which is so suffocating for us to even watch.”

The film is bankrolled by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh under the banners of Vibri & Karma Media and Entertainment. It is reported that Kangana has taken a hefty amount of Rs 20 crore for this film being made in three languages i.e. Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Kangana is still learning Bharatanatyam and Tamil language for the film and after all these preparations, the shooting of the film will start in Mysuru by the end of October. Apart from this film, Kangana also has Dhaakad. The action /thriller film is directed by Rajneesh Ghai and bankrolled by Sohail Maklai.

Meanwhile, director Gautham Menon had recently revealed that he is making a web series on the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalitha titled Queen. Recently, he released the first look of this web series creating curiosity among the netizens. Seasoned actor Ramya Krishnan will be seen playing Jayalalitha in this web series. Queen web series first season will have 11 episodes and is set to premiere on the streaming platform MX Player. The web series has been co-directed by Prasath Murugesan of Kidari fame and written by Gautham Menon's partner Reshma Ghatala.
