Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2, the sequel to the 2013 blockbuster Vishwaroopam, is all set for release on August 10. The trailer of the film was released last month and has become a hit among the film buffs with expectations running high. With promotions in full swing, reports suggest Kamal will make an appearance on the television reality show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ to promote the Hindi version of Vishwaroopam 2.
Incidentally, Salman Khan had appealed to his fans to watch Vishwaroopam when it was released after facing a ban, in 2013. And now, with Kamal on Salman’s show for promoting the sequel, their respective fans are excited. While both Kamal and Salman are well-known for hosting the ‘Bigg Boss’ show in Tamil and Hindi respectively, this is the first time they are associating on screen.
Vishwaroopam 2 will be a bilingual film made in Hindi and Tamil. It is also being dubbed in Telugu for a simultaneous release.
It is written, produced and directed by Kamal Haasan himself who also plays the lead role in it. Meanwhile, though the music of the prequel was composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the music of Vishwaroopam 2 has been composed by Ghibran. The cinematography is by Sanu Varghese and Shamdat Sainudeen, and Mahesh Narayanan and Vijay Shankar are in-charge of editing.
Vishwaroopam 2 also stars Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur and Waheeda Rehman in pivotal roles.
The film is bankrolled by Kamal Hassan, Chandrahasan and V Ravichandran under the banners Aascar Films PVT Limited and Raaj Kamal Films International.
While the Hindi version will be presented by Rohit Shetty and Anil Ambani-led Reliance Entertainment, the Tamil version will be distributed by Raaj Kamal Films International.
