Director PS Mithran, who made a big splash last year with Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai, is all set to join hands with Sivakarthikeyan for his next project. The project, which will be bankrolled by 24 AM Studios, was officially announced last November and it was confirmed that the film also stars Arjun Sarja in a crucial role.

With the film slated to go on the floors very soon, reports have emerged that Kalyani Priyadarshan is most likely to be signed as the leading lady. Kalyani, daughter of veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, made her acting debut with Telugu film Hello. In Tamil, she’s already part of Dulquer Salmaan’s Vaan and if she comes on board this project, it will be her second outing in Kollywood.

In September 2018, talking to Times of India, Mithran said that he and Siva had worked on a short film and have been planning to work together for a while. Apparently, they were even supposed to work on a project even before Irumbu Thirai.

“I’d written a story for him long ago, and we were supposed to do a film even before Irumbu Thirai released, sometime in 2017. After the release of my film, we met and decided to work together. This project will be a racy thriller. That’s how I’ve planned it for now. Just like Irumbu Thirai, this film will also have a social message.”

George C Williams has been confirmed to crank the camera for this project. Siva currently awaits the release of Mr Local, his next film with director M Rajesh. He also has a science-fiction film with Ravi Kumar.

Rumours are doing the rounds that the project with Ravi Kumar has been put on hold at the moment due to budget constraints. Rakul Preet Singh will pair up with Siva in this project and she will be seen playing an astronomer in the film.
