The star kid Kalyani Priyadarshan made her acting debut in Tollywood with the Akhil Akkineni starrer Hello and is slowly making inroads in the film industry. Her second film Chitralahari released last week to positive reviews. Directed by Kishore Tirumala the film had Sai Dharam Tej in the lead with Sunil, Nivetha Pethuraj and Vennela Kishore in supporting roles. The film was bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.
The latest is that Kalyani has bagged another offer in the Telugu film industry. This time, she will be seen in a multi starrer that has Sharwanand and Sudhir Varma in the lead roles. This film is gearing up for release in a couple of months.
Also, Kalyani is in talks to star in Bheeshma, which has Nithin playing the hero. While Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to play the female lead, Kalyani will be in the star cast as the other heroine. Sources in the know say that she will sign on the project and an official confirmation will be out soon. Venky Kudumula is helming Bheeshma as its director. The film is bankrolled by Naga Vamsi.
Kalyani has also signed her second Tamil film in a span of just two months. After being signed opposite Sivakarthikeyan in her maiden Tamil film Hero directed by PS Mithran of Irumbu Thirai fame; Kalyani will be paired with Simbu in Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu, which is slated to go on the floors very soon.
Kalyani, who is thrilled to be part of the project, wrote on her twitter page: "Can't wait to bring that amazing script to life.”
It may be noted that she’s already part of Dulquer Salmaan’s Vaan, a travel-based script directed by RA Karthik. Besides these films, she is expecting her Malayalam debut movie Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, which is being directed by her father, the ace director Priyadarshan. She is sharing the screen space with Mohanlal, Pranav Mohanlal, Keerthy Suresh and several other top stars in this historical. Kalyani has finished shooting for her portions in this flick.
