Kalyan Rams upcoming flick titled 118

The title of N Kalyan Ram’s next is out and it is 118. Like the title, the film’s subject and concept will be also be unique, we hear from sources. Touted to be a thriller, 118 will have N Kalyan Ram as the hero and sharing the screen space with him as his heroines would be Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey.

Wielding the megaphone for this venture is the ace cinematographer KV Guhan and it is bankrolled by PRO Mahesh Koneru under his banner East Coast Productions. The shooting of the film is on and it is scheduled for release early next year. It may be noted here that KV Guhan is a popular cinematographer having cranked the camera for a number of films in his long career including Kushi, New, Athadu, Mozhi, Muni and Jalsa. He had directed the film Inidhu Inidhu in the 2010.

Shekar Chandra has been roped in to compose music for this venture. Kalyan Ram plays an investigative journalist in the film and he has done some daredevilry stunts in it, report sources. Also, he will be sporting a new look for the role.

It may be mentioned here that 118 was launched by Kalyan Ram’s brother and popular star Jr NTR a few months ago. The film launch was a grand affair with several celebs attending it. When the first look poster was out on N Kalyan Ram’s birthday, wishes poured in for the star from all quarters.

Kalyan Ram’s last release Naa Nuvve, a rom com, written and directed by Jayendra Panchapakesan, had hit the marquee in June this year. Incidentally, the film was produced by the same production house that is bankrolling 118.

Kalyan ram will be essaying the role of his father Nandamuri Harikrishna who was the fourth son of actor-politician NT Rama Rao. He has an important role in the life of NTR in the upcoming biopic of former Chief Minister and Super Star of Telugu Cinema NTR.
