It is well known that the mega star Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law Kalyan Dev will be making his debut in Tollywood. The shooting of this film has been going on for some time now with speculations about its title doing rounds. And now, all this has come to an end with the makers revealing the title. And much to the delight of all the fans out there, the film has been titled Vijetha, which is the title of the blockbuster hit film in Chiranjeevi’s career.

Written and directed by Rakesh Sashi, the film is produced by Sai Korrapati under his banner Varahi Chala Chitram. It may be mentioned here that the ace producer has several blockbuster hits under his belt including Eega, Andala Rakshasi, Legend, Oohalu Gusagusalade, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, Manamantha / Vismayam, and Yuddham Sharanam. KK Senthil Kumar has cranked the camera for this venture with Karthika Srinivas being the editor. Harshavardhan Rameshwar has composed music for this venture.

The one-minute teaser of this film was released recently and it has managed to capture the attention of the film buff. From the teaser it is evident that Vijetha is a film about the father – son relationship. While Kalyan Dev plays the son, veteran actor Murali Sharma plays his on screen dad. The film has Malavika Nair as the female lead. With Chiru’s son-in-law making his debut, expectations are high on it; more so because of the title.

Kalyan Dev is the youngest son-in-law of Chiranjeevi. He is married to Chiru’s youngest daughter Srija. He is an industrialist who has decided to follow the foot-steps of his mega star father-in-law Chiranjeevi and brother-in-law Ram Charan Teja. It may be mentioned here that Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja and nephew Allu Arjun are the leading stars in the Telugu film industry right now. With another member of the mega family venturing into acting, expectations are high on how he would fare.
