Kajal Aggarwal is elated right now with some good news coming her way. The actor shared on Twitter that two of her films – Ranarangam in Telugu and Comali in Tamil – will be hitting the marquee on the same day. Both these films are gearing up for release on August 15 to coincide with the Indian Independence Day.

Ranarangam is directed by Sudheer Varma and stars Sharwanand, Kajal Agarwal and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. The teaser of this movie was released recently and is going viral among the netizens. Ranarangam is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner Sithara Entertainments.
The technical crew includes Divakar Mani for cinematography, Prashanth Pillai for music and Navin Nooli for editing. It may be noted here that some stills from the film were leaked online creating quite a stir a few months ago. Sharwanand was seen sporting a beard and reports are that it is just one of his looks in the film. The star is playing dual roles in this movie. The shooting of this film has been wrapped up and has gone into the post-production mode.
Comali is a comedy-drama film written and directed by debutant Pradeep Ranganathan and produced by Ishari Ganesh under his banner Vels Film International. The film stars Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hegde in the lead roles. The star cast also includes KS Ravikumar, Yogi Babu and Kavita Radheshyam in supporting roles. Hip-hop Tamizha is composing music for this venture with Richard M Nathan cranking the camera and Pradeep E Ragav editing it.
With both these films making it to the silver screens on the same day, the actor is very excited.
