Reports are that Tammannah has walked out of Raju Gari Gadhi 3 and that Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in as a replacement. Different reasons have been attributed to Tammannah’s ouster from the film. While one section says that it is due to call sheet issues, the other version is that she had differences of opinion with the film’s director Omkar. Apparently, Tammannah isn’t too happy with Omkar’s brother Ashwin given prominence in the franchise. Incidentally, Ashwin played a pivotal role in both Raju Gari Gadhi and Raju Gari Gadhi 2

Raju Gari Gadhi, the first of the franchise, was released in 2015. It was a horror comedy directed by Omkar. Ashwin Babu and Dhanya Balakrishna played in the lead roles in it. The film was bankrolled by Varahi Chalana Chitram, AK Entertainments Pvt. Ltd and OAK Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. Sai Karthik composed the film's soundtrack with Gnanam handling the cinematography.

Directed by Omkar, Raju Gari Gadhi 2 was released in 2017. It was produced by Prasad V Potluri under the banners PVP Cinema, Matinee Entertainments & OAK Entertainments. While the story has been written jointly by Omkar and Ranjith Sankar, Omkar had written the screenplay and Abburi Ravi had penned the dialogues. The film is based on the story of the Malayalam blockbuster Pretham. Starring Nagarjuna Akkineni in the lead role, the film had Samantha Akkineni playing the ghost. The star cast also included Seerat Kapoor, Ashwin Babu, Rao Ramesh, Vennela Kishore, Praveen, Nandu, Shakalaka Shankar, Naresh and Avinash. S Thaman composed music for Raju Gari Gadhi 2 and the cinematography was handled by R. Diwakaran with Madhu editing it.

Tammannah's last Telugu outing F2: Fun and Frustration starring Venkatesh, Varun Tej and Mehreen Pirzada was a blockbuster hit and the film went on to reach the 100 crore club making it a massive success.
