Prabhas’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Jaan, is progressing at a brisk pace. According to the latest reports, Kajal Aggarwal will be making a cameo appearance in the film. Sources say that the actor has been approached for the role and considering its importance to the storyline, Kajal agreed to hop on board.

This is certainly good news for movie buffs as Prabhas and Kajal Aggarwal have worked together in quite a few films that went on to become huge hits. An interesting feature about Jaan is that Prabhas will be playing a palm reader, a role that has never been explored by the leading heroes in the Telugu film industry.

Jaan, directed by KK Radha Krishna, is being bankrolled jointly by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations while Chandrasekar Yeleti has penned the story. Pooja Hegde has been signed to play the lead opposite Prabhas. It is being shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, with plans to release it for Christmas next year. Amit Trivedi has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick. Award-winning art director Sabu Cyril is in charge of the sets, for which a major portion of the budget has been allocated. Sources in the know say that a couple of sets built for the film came out impressively.

It may be noted here that Prabhas’ last release was Saaho, directed by Sujeeth, which released earlier this year. This magnum opus was bankrolled by V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film’s star cast included Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas played the male lead in this action entertainer, Shraddha Kapoor shared screen space opposite him. The technical crew of this film included R Madhi for cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad for editing.
