Super Star is presently busy shooting for Kaala directed by Pa Ranjith and bankrolled by Dhanush. The shooting began in Mumbai on May 28 and has been progressing steadily.
In a recent interview, producer Dhanush revealed that “Kaala is coming out really well. 60% of the film is complete, and it would be a celebration film for all Thalaivar fans.”
He also quashed rumours citing that 2.0 has been postponed to April 2018 and Kaala will release in January. He said that Kaala will release only after 2.0.
Kaala has Santhosh Narayanan scoring the music and G Murali cranking the camera with Sreekar Prasad signed up for editing. The film is bankrolled by Dhanush under his home banner Wunderbar Films and is scheduled for release next year. With the Kabali team joining hands for Kaala, expectations are high.
The film has a bevy of stars in the star cast including Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, Anjali Patil, Nana Patekar, Sukanya, Eswari Rao, and Sayaji Shinde. Murali G is cranking the camera and Sreekar Prasad has been signed up for editing.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s yet another magnum opus, the Shankar directorial 2.0, which is currently into the post-production mode, is also gearing up for an early 2018 release.
