Jr NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa is scheduled to hit the silver screens on September 21 to cash in on the Dasara weekend but there are rumours being floated that the film’s release may be postponed. According to the rumours, Jr NTR is so busy hosting the television show Bigg Boss that the shooting schedules have gone haywire. Putting it down as mere rumours, sources close to the NTR Arts banner, which is producing the venture, confirmed that Jai Lava Kusa’s progress is on track and the film will hit the marquee right on time. There is no question of the film’s release being postponed, say sources in the know. With the filmmakers making it clear that the release date won’t be postponed and it would hit the silver screens on the announced date, Jr NTR’s fans should be heaving a sigh of relief.
Directed by KS Ravindra, the film has been penned jointly by KS Ravindra, Kona Venkat and K Chakravarthy. Jai Lava Kusa is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under the banner NTR Arts. While Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas will be seen pairing up with the star, the film will mark the debut of Bollywood actor Ronit Roy who is playing the antagonist.
Devi Sri Prasad is composing the tunes for this film with Chota K Naidu wielding the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing it.
There were reports that Jai Lava Kusa is a remake of the Ajith starrer Varalaru that was released in 2006 but the makers of the film have trashed it as rumours. The similarity between the two films ends with the fact that the heroes appear in triple roles but that's it, said sources close to Jai Lava Kusa. The film is an original script that has been penned for Jr NTR, add sources.
