Jr NTR took to Twitter on Thursday to thank his family, friends, colleagues and fans who wished him on his birthday. The actor turned 38 on May 20. Many of Tarak’s co-stars from the film fraternity extended their wishes on social media. “I thank each & every fan,my family members,well wishers & members of the film fraternity for the warm birthday wishes. Grateful (sic),” Jr NTR posted on Thursday. The makers of his upcoming Tollywood movie RRR unveiled a new poster of Jr NTR from the movie. He is seen sporting an intense and fierce look as legendary tribal leader, Komaram Bheem, in the new poster.

RRR also stars actors Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in the lead roles. Unveiling the poster on Twitter, SS Rajamouli wrote, “My Bheem has a heart of gold. But when he rebels, he stands strong and bold! Here’s @tarak9999as the INTENSE #KomaramBheem from #RRRMovie (sic).”  Helmed by SS Rajamouli, RRR is a fictional story set in the 1920s, pre-Independence era, and is based on the lives of two real heroes and well-known Telugu revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem – played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively. 

The film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. The period action thriller is produced by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainments. RRR is scheduled to hit the screens on October 13, 2021. Marking Jr NTR’s 38th birthday, filmmaker Prashanth Neel announced that he will be teaming up with the actor for a new project, which has been tentatively titled NTR31. “The only soil that is worth remembering is the one soaked in blood!! Can’t wait to make this one with the one and only force @tarak9999#NTR31 it is!! Wishing you a safe birthday brother Wishing for a successful collaboration (sic),” Prashanth Neel tweeted on Thursday.  

Earlier, Jr NTR, who is recovering from COVID-19, urged fans not to celebrate his birthday this year in view of the coronavirus situation in the country. “Every year, the affection shown by you on the occasion of my birthday is something I truly cherish. But in these challenging times, the biggest gift you can give me is to stay home and follow local lockdown rules.” He added, “Our country is at war with COVID-19. Our medical community and frontline workers are waging a selfless and tireless war. Many people have lost their loved ones and livelihoods. This is not a time for celebration. This is a time for showing our solidarity with those in need.”
