It was an emotional moment for Jr NTR at the pre-release event of his upcoming film Aravinda Sametha, where the actor broke down remembering his father, N Harikrishna, who passed away in a road mishap in August.

Choking in between words, Jr NTR, all through his speech, recalled his father’s perspectives towards life and work. He spoke about how he wished his father was present at the event and said there was no time to make amends now.

“For around one month, there are many things I have been keeping within myself. I don't know what to say and how to say it. The main reason we both (himself and Kalyan Ram) stopped speaking in public was this. When a person is alive, we don't understand what they're worth but after his death, even if we want to know him also he won't be there among us,” the actor said.

NTR recollected how his father always treated his fans with respect, and added that he admired stars without any strings attached.

“He always used to say when he was alive, that we are not great people. I was born to a great man and you were born to me, but it is always the people who take us forward. It would have been good if he'd lived to see this movie's release.”

In between sobs, the actor added, “For a father, there couldn't have been a better son. For a son, there couldn't have been a better father.”

Jr NTR further said how during audio functions he often saw his grandfather’s portrait but never did he expect that his father’s photo would also be there this soon.

“Even though he is not physically present with us, I am seeing him in all of you. I am making the same promise today that I made to my father. We owe you our lives,” the emotional actor told audience.

Aravinda Sametha is all set for release on October 11 with Jr NTR and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. Written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the star cast also includes Eesha Rebba, Jagapathi Babu, Naga Babu, Sunil, Shatru, Rao Ramesh and Ravi Prakash in supporting roles. This is the first time that Jr NTR is associating with Trivikram Srinivas for a movie.
