While Jr NTR is hogging the limelight with his new avatar playing the Bigg Boss host, sources are rife with the news that he is eyeing the remake of the Kannada blockbuster Raajakumara that had Puneeth Rajkumar playing the lead role.
The buzz is that the Tollywood star is impressed with the film and with it scoring a century at the box office, he is keen on starring in its remake.
However, there is no official word about it as nothing has been finalised yet. It may be mentioned here that both Jr NTR and Puneeth Rajkumar share a good rapport, with the former crooning a number for the latter’s Chakravyuha, which became a chartbuster.
Ever since the Raajakumara team celebrated the grand success of the film with the 100-day function in Bengaluru, the demand for its remake rights have gone up, say sources.
The film was directed by Santhosh Ananddram, who had also written it. The film, released on March 24th, was produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. Priya Anand was seen pairing up with Puneeth Rajkumar in the movie and it was her debut in the Kannada film industry.
Meanwhile, the star is busy not only hosting the Bigg Boss show on TV but is also concentrating on the magnum opus Jai Lava Kusa which has him in three different looks.
Written jointly by K. S. Ravindra, Kona Venkat and K. Chakravarthy, this action drama is being directed by K S Ravindra.
Devi Sri Prasad is composing the tunes for this flick with Chota K. Naidu handling the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing it.
If reports about Jr NTR starring in the remake turn out to be true, his fans are in for a complete treat, say sources.
