Actor Jayaram is going to work in a new film titled Grand Father which will be directed by Aneesh Anvar, according to reports.
The film is bankrolled by Haseeb Haneef, Manju Badsha and Aji Medayil under the banner Achicha Cinema. Besides Jayaram, Grand Father will also have actors Hareesh Kanaran, Johny Antony, Dharmajan Bolgatty and Baiju Santhosh playing significant roles. The film’s shooting will begin next week with its release scheduled for next year. More details about the film are expected to be out after it goes on the floors.
The Jayaram starrer Panchavarnathatha, released earlier this year, had turned out to be a grand success at the box office. The film, revolving around a macaw, was noticed for it made the directorial debut of actor-comedian Ramesh Pisharody.
The star’s next film release would be Lonappante Mamodeesa in which he plays the title role. The film is directed by Leo Thaddeus. It is currently in the post-production stage with its release date being worked out.
On working in the movie, Jayaram had told in an interview to the Times of India earlier, “It’s after a long time since Sathyan Anthikad’s films that I have enjoyed the shooting of a movie. From the beginning of this film, there was a positive vibe and it continued all through to the end of the movie.”
Set in a village backdrop, Lonappante Mamodisa will have in its cast actors Kaniha, Anna Rajan, Hareesh Kanaran and Innocent in pivotal roles with Shanthi Krishna, Nisha Sarang, and Eva Pavithran roped in to play Jayaram’s sisters. The film’s technical crew include Alphonse Joseph for music with Hari Narayanan and Jofi Tharakan penning the lyrics, Sudheer Surendran doing the cinematography, Ranjan Abraham for editing, Joseph Nellikkal for production design, Dhanya Balakrishnan for costume designing, and Pattanam Rasheed for makeup.
