Jayaram is all set to join the sets of Grand Father from December 12th onwards. The shooting of this film, which will be directed by Aneesh Anwar, will start on December 12th with its release planned for Vishu in April next year. Sharing the screen space with Jayaram in the movie would be Divya Pillai and Surabhi Santosh. Anusree would also be playing an important role.

The rest of the actors in this fun entertainer comprise Senthil Krishna, Soubin Shahir, Baburaj, Baiju Santhosh, Vijayaraghavan, Sharafuddin, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Dileesh Pothen, Sajan Palluruthy, Sunil Suhara, Asha Aravind, Johny Antony, Hareesh Kanaran, Jaffer Idukki and Mallika Sukumaran. Reports are that Grand Father is touted to be a comic caper.

The film has been scripted by Shani Kader. The technicians roped in for the project include Sameer Haq for cinematography, Vishnu Mohan Sithara for music composition and Sahas Bala for art direction. The film is bankrolled by Haseeb Haneef, Manju Badsha and Aji Medayil under the banner Achicha Cinema.

Meanwhile, Jayaram is gearing for the release of Lonappante Mamodeesa, which is scheduled for release on December 7th. He is believed to play a middle-aged bachelor in the film. Set in a village backdrop, the film has in its cast, actors Kaniha, Anna Rajan, Hareesh Kanaran and Innocent in pivotal roles with Shanthi Krishna, Nisha Sarang and Eva Pavithran roped in to play Jayaram’s sisters. The film’s technical crew include Alphonse Joseph for music with Hari Narayanan and Jofi Tharakan penning the lyrics, Sudheer Surendran for cinematography, Ranjan Abraham for editing, Joseph Nellikkal for production design, Dhanya Balakrishnan for costume designing, and Pattanam Rasheed for make-up.

Jayaram starrer Panchavarnathatha, released earlier this year, had turned out to be a grand success at the box office. The film, revolving around a macaw, was noticed for it made the directorial debut of actor-comedian Ramesh Pisharody.
