For the first time in his career, Jayaram is playing a grandfather in his upcoming film My Great Grandfather and is excited about the role. The first look of the star in the film was released recently has got a good response. From the first look and the title, it is evident that My Great Grandfather will be a complete family entertainer. However, the poster shows Jayaram looking quite young with no signs of how the conventional grandpas are, which means he doesn’t look like he would be sporting grey hair in the film.
The shooting of My Great Grandfather, directed by Aneesh Anwar, started in December last year with its release planned for this year. Sharing the screen space with Jayaram in the movie will be Divya Pillai and Surabhi Santosh, with Anusree in an important role. Reports are that Anusree will be seen playing a vital role in it but she is not the female lead as anticipated.
The rest of the actors in this fun entertainer comprise Senthil Krishna, Soubin Shahir, Baburaj, Baiju Santhosh, Vijayaraghavan, Sharafuddin, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Dileesh Pothen, Sajan Palluruthy, Sunil Suhara, Asha Aravind, Johny Antony, Hareesh Kanaran, Jaffer Idukki and Mallika Sukumaran.
The film is scripted by Shani Kader. The technicians roped in for the project include Sameer Haq for cinematography, Vishnu Mohan Sithata for music composition and Sahas Bala for art direction. The film is bankrolled by Haseeb Haneef, Manju Badsha and Aji Medayil under the banner Achicha Cinema.
It may be noted that Jayaram has two other films besides My Great Grandfather lined up for release this year. They are Marconi Mathai and Pattabhiraman.
