Jr. NTR-starrer Janatha Garage, which was earlier slated to hit the screens in August, will now release on September 2, according to director Koratala Siva. Talking to the media in Hyderabad earlier on Friday, he confirmed that the release is being postponed and it was only to ensure excellent output.
“We’d like to give post-production more time for excellent output. I’m sorry for the delay but it is important we deliver the best output. Hence, the delay and I request fans to not get disappointed because the film will not disappoint you all,” Siva said, while addressing the media. He also mentioned that rains have disrupted the shoot.
Naveen Yerneni, one of the producers said, "Heavy rains disrupted the shoot on some days. This has led to a slight delay, leaving very little time for post-production. After making such a high budget film with a good story, we did not want to rush in with a hurried output. This delay is only to give the best possible film for fans and movie lovers."
One of the fans expressed disappointment at the movie being deferred.
“The teaser has raised our expectations on the movie. Mid- August has a long weekend and we anticipated the movie to release in the same week. We are a bit disappointed with the postponement but as a fan, I wish Tarak’s movie will be a huge hit whenever it releases,” said Vineet, a fan of Jr. NTR.
Also starring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Unni Mukundan and Sachin Khedekar, the film has been predominantly shot in Mumbai. While Lal will be seen as the owner of a garage, NTR will be playing his nephew.
