After carving a niche for herself in the southern film industries, - Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam - Keerthy Suresh is all set to step into Bollywood. The announcement was made recently and the first celeb to welcome Keerthy to the Hindi film industry was none other than Jahnvi Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and late actor Sridevi.

Jahnvi wrote on her Instagram story: “Been obsessed with you since I saw Mahanati. So excited that you’re part of dad’s next film. Welcome!!!”

It may be noted here that well-known trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to make the announcement regarding Keerthy’s Bollywood debut. He wrote: “IT’S OFFICIAL… Keerthy Suresh – a leading name in South Indian films – to make her Hindi film debut opposite Ajay Devgn… #BadhaaiHo director Amit Sharma will direct… Produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta.”

Keerthy will be paired opposite Ajay Devgn in this film which will be directed by Amit Sharma. The film will be bankrolled jointly by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta under their respective banners. Reports are that the film will be on the life of the renowned football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who ensured the Indian team’s victory in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. The film will trace out the golden years of the Indian football team between 1950 and 1963.

Keerthy Suresh, on the other hand, is one of the most wanted heroines in Tollywood right now. It is worth mentioning here that Keerthy played the legendary actor Savitri in her biopic Mahanati last year, which won her accolades from all quarters. She has been bagging some of the best roles since then and it has now turned out to be an entry ticket to Bollywood.

Currently, the actor is busy with the Malayalam film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. Directed by award-winning director Prityadarshan, the film has Mohanlal playing the title role.
