It was an event touted as popular actor  Jagathi Sreekumar's first public appearance, after an accident left him paralysed. But the public function was filled with drama with the unexpected appearance of his love child Sreelakshmi, creating chaos on the stage. As the chief guest of an event, arranged by MLA PC George at Poonjar, Kottayam Constituency on Sunday to facilitate  school students who secured high marks in board exams, Jagathy was making a comeback to his public life after 3 years. The actor, who had enthralled Malayalis for decades, had met with an accident on March 10 2012 that left him paralysed and he has still not recovered his speech abilities. His accident came as a huge shock not just for the cinema industry, but for fans spread across too. Jagathi's return after extensive medical treatment was a much publicised one. According to a Manorama News report, when Jagathy entered the dais, Sreelakshmi rushed to him, hugged and kissed him in tears. The organizers of the event tried to take her away, but she resisted and later organizers allowed her to sit along with Jagathy on the dais. For the audience’s surprise Jagathy also kissed her back with a smile. The report says that she spent 5 minutes with her father and left the stage crying.  Sreelakshmi’s mother told Manorama News that they were not allowed to visit Jagathy at his home as his family objected. She said that Sreelakshmi was longing to meet her father once and when she came to know about this function, she rushed to meet him. Photo Courtesy : Manorama News Watch Video :     ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാറിനെ പങ്കെടുപ്പിച്ച് പി.സി ജോര്‍ജ് നടത്തിയ പരിപാടിയിലേക്ക് മകള്‍ ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മി അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി ഓടിക്കയറിയപ്പോള്‍ Posted by Manorama Online on Sunday, June 28, 2015
