Actor Jagapathi Babu, who has predominantly worked in Telugu films and was last seen in Ajith’s Viswasam, is believed to have been signed as the antagonist in Vishal’s next project. It’s worth mentioning that Jagapathi had previously played a negative in Vishal starrer Kaththi Sandai, and this would be their second time collaboration. The yet to be titled project will be directed by Sundar C, who had previously worked with Vishal in Madha Gadha Raja and Aambala. Currently busy with the release of Simbu’s Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, Sundar is expected to commence work on this project from March onwards.

Tipped to be a romantic entertainer, Tamannaah Bhatia and Aishwarya Lekshmi have been signed as the leading ladies. Aishwarya, best known for her work in Malayalam films like Mayaanadhi and Varathan, would be making her Tamil debut with this project. In September last year, speaking to Times of India, Aishwarya said: “I play a lovable, family-girl type of role in the film. I’ve been waiting for a sweet role like this to debut in Tamil, and I’m glad to be debuting with Sundar C sir’s film. We start shooting from January 2019.”

Vishal is currently busy wrapping up Tamil actioner Ayogya, the remake of Telugu film Temper. He plays a cop in the film, which also stars Raashi Khanna. This year, Vishal is all set to enter wedlock with actress Anisha Reddy, who has featured in small roles in Telugu films Pellichoopulu and Arjun Reddy. He is also expected to join hands with Mysskin for the sequel of Thupparivaalan later this year. He will return as detective Kaniyan Poogundran with his partner Manohar, played by Prasanna.
