The team of Shankar’s Indian 2 has moved to Bhopal after wrapping up two schedules in Rajahmundry and Sriperumbudur. In the latest schedule, a massive action sequence will be shot over a period of four weeks and the makers have roped in National award-winning stunt choreographer Peter Hein to oversee and execute the action scene.

Apparently, Lyca Productions is spending a whopping Rs 40 crore to shoot this action sequence which will include over 2000 junior artistes, based on a report by DT Next. Kamal Haasan is yet to join the sets for the latest schedule very shortly.

Meanwhile, it was recently speculated that actor Anil Kapoor has been roped in to play the antagonist in Indian 2. It’s worth mentioning that Shankar and Anil Kapoor had previously worked together in Nayak, the Hindi remake of Mudhalvan.

The first poster of Indian 2 was unveiled on the occasion of Pongal earlier this year. The makers are now geared up to complete shooting the project as planned within a span of next three months across Chennai, Andhra and Taiwan.

The first poster featured Haasan displaying his ‘varma-kalai’ skill as the Octogenarian vigilante Senapathy from Indian. The film, which is being produced a lavish budget by Lyca Productions has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Recently, Haasan went clean-shaven to shoot Indian 2 and his upcoming project, Thalaivan Irukkindran.

The film stars Rakul Preet Singh in an important role. On being signed for Indian 2 and being cast with Kamal Haasan for the first time, Rakul had told Times of India: “It’s a sequel to one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema and I’m really kicked about being a part of it. I was excited when I was offered the role because it’s a Shankar-Kamal Haasan combination and getting a chance to work with legends like that so early in my career is an opportunity I did not want to miss,” she said.

The film also stars Siddharth and Priya Bhavani Shankar in crucial roles.
