Incessant calls, notes written in blood: Kerala man arrested a second time in B’luru for stalking woman

A former sales executive was recently arrested a second time for allegedly stalking and constantly harassing his woman superior officer in Bengaluru.

Bangalore Mirror reports that Arun Shashidhar, who hails from Kerala, was fired from his job as a sales executive in a four-star hotel in Hebbal, after he refused to pay heed to the woman’s disinterest and began to stalk her.

Arun was sacked within a few weeks of joining work in November last year, after the woman complained to her general manager about his alleged nature.

However, she told BM that Arun began to call her after he was sacked and called her for over 2000 times a day and send her messages online, and repeated attempts at blocking him failed. Obscene photographs, threats and notes written in blood also followed.

She told Mirror: "Arun would call me more than 2,000 times in a day and send messages even after I blocked him. He went to my Facebook profile and started sending me messages on it too. Initially, I had not seen the Facebook messages as they were marked as spam. These were all shocking: written in blood, or porn videos and nude photos. When I blocked him, he started sending me messages from another account. He would even download my photos and write messages on them."

When Arun walked into her house seeking to marry her, she filed a police complaint last month.

Though he was arrested and sent to judicial custody of 14 days, Arun is reported to have spent the night outside her home after being released on bail.

Arun’s father took him back to Kerala, but it did not deter him from continuing to send her messages.

Police say that he is now undergoing treatment for mental health.
