I want to be in 'Baahubali 3': Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson

Speaking at an interview for Mostly Sane during ‘Captain Marvel’ promotions, the actor said he would like to act in Baahubali 3 if it’s ever made.

Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali, for all its visual grandeur, changed the way the world looked at Indian cinema. From winning international accolades to being one of the most successful movies to run in countries such as China and Japan, director Rajamouli catapulted to international fame with the two-part movie.

Now, in another rare honour, Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson has expressed his desire to act in Baahubali 3 when asked if he would like to work in Bollywood movies. The Avengers actor was speaking at an interview for ‘Mostly Sane’ in Singapore, a YouTube channel run by Indian YouTuber Prajakta Koli, during the promotions for Captain Marvel.

When asked if he would like to be in a Bollywood movie, Jackson promptly replies that he loves Bollywood and would like to act in Baahubali 3 if it’s ever made. A surprised Prajakta asks if he has seen any Bollywood movie yet to which Jackson replies, “Yes, Baahubali. I just told Baahubali. Did I make that up?”

Superhero movies have a huge fan following and Samuel L Jackson had marvel fans crazed playing Nick Fury in Avengers. But just as Samuel Jackson revealed his adulation for Baahubali, the reverse has come true and it’s indeed a rare word of appreciation for Tollywood and director Rajamouli.

Captain Marvel released worldwide on March 8 and opened to mixed reviews.

Meanwhile, director Rajamouli is busy with the shooting of his upcoming flick RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan Teja. Details about the rest of the star cast and crew are under wraps as of now. The film’s plot is reportedly based on the epic Ramayana.

RRR is being bankrolled by DVV Dhanayya under his banner DVV Entertainments on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam and is touted to be a 2020 Sankranti release.
