A day after the charred body of a man, suspected to be that of an advocate, was found in a car in Telangana, the police cracked the case and said that the body was that of of 47-year-old Uday Kumar, a Hyderabad based lawyer.

The Keesara police on Monday arrested two people in the case.

Quoting police sources, The Hindu reported that he was murdered over a property deal gone sour. The Keesara police arrested one Suman Reddy, who assisted the main accused D. Lokesh Babu, after the latter murdered Uday Kumar with a sickle and later burnt his body along with his car.

The Times of India reported that Kumar’s father Avula Nakuludu had sold his five-acre property in Jawaharnagar to Lokesh for Rs 25 lakh, without the knowledge of Kumar, who later met Lokesh and claimed that the market value of the property was in crores.

After several meetings, the dispute worsened and it prompted Lokesh to kill Kumar and burn his body.
