In a tragic incident, a minor boy died of suffocation on Friday after he got locked inside his father’s parked car, while playing, in Hyderabad’s Narsingi area.

The deceased has been identified as two-year-old Mohammed Sajid.

According to Times of India, Sajid entered the car, and unintentionally locked himself inside with his father’s car keys. Unable to open the locked door, the child fell unconscious in the car.

It was reported that his father, Mohammed Ameen, parked the car in front of the house and went out, when the incident occurred. His wife was reportedly busy at the time and didn’t notice Sajid going inside the car.

The Hindu reported that the couple noticed Sajid missing after a few hours, and searched for him, only to find him unconscious in the car.

Sajid was then rushed to a private hospital, where he succumbed, late on Friday night.

According to Deccan Chronicle, parents of the boy, did not file any complaint with the police , and hurriedly performed the funeral on Saturday, raising eyebrows.

Earlier this month, another tragic incident took place, when a 12-year-old boy died in Hyderabad after he had set himself on fire in an attempt to imitate a stunt that he had seen on a cartoon show on TV.

Last year, a four-year-old boy died of suffocation after he wrapped a polythene cover around his head while playing in the city’s Nizampet area.

Kodela Shreyan had gone inside his bedroom to play, with a plastic bag, which he put over his head.

When the child tried to take off the bag, it reportedly tightened around his mouth, which resulted in his death.
