The title of Mahesh Babu’s next film is yet to be announced, but there is a huge demand for the film’s theatrical rights in Tamil Nadu.

Trade sources point out that it is expected to be lapped up for a huge amount. In fact, it may be the second biggest deal after the magnum opus Baahubali.

Tentatively titled ‘Mahesh 23’, the film is directed by AR Murugadoss, and will grace the silver screens on June 23.

The release date has been locked by the makers and the team is working hard to complete the shooting and post-production on time.

While Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead in the untitled film, it also has director-turned-actor SJ Suryah and Bharath in important roles.

Made as a bilingual, the director is shooting both the Tamil as well as the Telugu versions and both the versions will be out on the same day.

With this flick, Mahesh Babu will be making his debut in Kollywood.

Though his Tamil dubbed films have been released earlier, this will be his first direct Tamil release.

The film has a strong technical team comprising music director Harris Jayaraj, cinematographer Santosh Sivan and editor Sreekar Prasad.
