Huawei’s sub brand Honor has announced the launch of a new smartphone viz. Honor 6A. There are designated websites from where the phone can be purchased from June 1, 2017 and pre-orders are being accepted from May 25. The specifications and other details of the phone are as below:

The Honor 6A has dimensions 143.7x70.95x8.2mm and its weight is 143grams. The phone has a 5inch display and the screen resolution is 720x1280 HD. The phone’s main processor is the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. The clock speed is reported to be 1.2GHz and 1.7GHz respectively, for two different sets of Cortex-A53 cores, of 4 cores each. The Adreno 505 GPU provides the Graphics support.

The new smartphone from Huawei is being released in two storage variants; a 2GB RAM and 16GB Storage and a 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage. The prices will also vary and are being mentioned in the end. The slot for a microSD card to expand the storage up to 128GB is also very much a part of the features of the Honor 6A.

Huawei has made it a point to explain that the main camera in the rear, a 13MP sensor on its new phone sports a 28mm 5P lens and dual LED flash and the users can do video recording with it to yield high quality images and videos. The front camera is 5MP.

There is a fingerprint sensor at the back just below the rear camera and it is claimed by the manufacturer that the device can be unlocked using the fingerprint sensor in just 0.5 seconds.

The battery fitted on the Honor 6A is a 3020mAh one and as per the company product detail, the phone can play 12 hours of video or 57 hours of audio playback on a single charge.

The phone has been provided with all the connectivity features including 4G VoLTE.

On the pricing front, the 2GB/16GB variant of the Honor 6A will be sold at approx. Rs. 7,500 while the 3GB/32GB variant will be around Rs. 9,400. There are four different colours in which the phone is being launched. These are Silver, Gold, Blue and Pink, but only a couple of colours have been displayed so far. The date by which this phone will be made available in the Indian market has not been disclosed yet.
