The News Minute| September 15, 2014| 9.30 am IST The Kerala Pradesh Congress President V M Sudheeran is known to be the politician who first insisted and later piled pressure on state Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to move towards total liquor prohibition. Understandably, Sudheeran is a villain for bar owners, employees and everyone who loves to down a peg or two in the state. One such bar in Ettumanur in Kottayam district that was shut down last April, has reopened, but this time as an eatery named after VM Sudheeran. Reporter TV says the eatery was being maintained by employees of the bar and they put up a board saying, "An eatery allowed by Respectable Sudheeran.' Congress workers held a protest outside the eatery on Sunday. One of the employees tell Reporter TV that he knows most of the protesters, they were regular customers at bar!
