Heroines finalised for Venkatesh-Varun Tej starrer ‘F2’?

The film is touted to be a thriller that will have some edge-of-the-seat moments for audiences.

The Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej starrer went on the floors recently with an official pooja. Titled F2, which stands for fun and frustration, the film is directed by Anil Ravipudi. Reports say that F2 is a thriller that will have some edge-of-the-seat moments for audiences.

Dil Raju, who scored a double hat-trick with Shathamanam Bhavathi, Nenu Local, DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham, Fidaa, Raja The Great and MCA, will bankroll this upcoming film under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.

The latest industry grapevine is that Tamannaah is already on board F2 and that she will be paired opposite Venkatesh. Mehreen Pirzada is another actor who is in talks to play the female lead opposite Varun Tej but she has not given her assent till now.

Venkatesh’s last release, Guru, the remake of the Tamil blockbuster Irudhi Suttru, directed by Sudha Kongara, turned out to be a big hit and the star has a couple of films – Aate Naade Veta Naade and Vikram Vedha remake – needing his attention right now. Besides these films, he has also signed a Trivikram Srinivas directorial which will go on the floors later this year.

Varun Tej, who made his acting debut as a child artiste in the Nagendra Babu starrer Hands Up!, debuted as hero in Mukunda in 2014. He went on to act in films such as Kanche, Loafer and Mister. His last two film releases Fidaa and Tholi Prema turned out to be big hits at the box office and the young star is hoping to score a perfect hat-trick with the success of F2.

Incidentally, Fidaa was produced by Dil Raju while Tholi Prema was bankrolled by BVSN Prasad and distributed by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations. Varun Tej also has the Sankalp Reddy space thriller in his kitty needing his attention.
