Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi is one of the most sought after villains in the Telugu film industry right now. The actor is currently associated with Ram Charan Teja’s untitled film and has reportedly charged a whopping amount to play the baddie.

According to a recent report in the Times of India, the makers of the multi starrer Devadas wanted to rope in Vivek Oberoi to play a role in the film but with the actor doubling his pay packet, they have put this idea in the backburner and are scouting for a suitable actor.

An official announcement on who would be playing the role is expected to be made soon.

Devadas is being directed by Sri Ram Aditya and is presented by C Dharma Raju and bankrolled by Ashwini Dutt under his banner Vyjayanthi Movies. It has Rashmika Mandanna and Aakanksha Singh playing the female leads. Mani Sharma will be composing the music for this flick with Samdat Sainudeen cranking the camera.

This is the first time the two finest actors from the Telugu film industry, Nagarjuna and Nani, are getting an opportunity to share the screen space.

While more details about the film are expected, going by the recently released first look poster, it is clear that Nani will be playing a doctor and Nagarjuna will be seen as a don. The first look poster is quite impressive and has created curiosity among the public.

Rashmika Mandanna, who shot to fame for her role in the Kannada film Kirik Party, will be playing one of the female leads in Devadas. According to reports, she will be paired opposite Nani in the film while it will be Aakanksha Singh for Nagarjuna. The shooting of Devadas is currently on and it is scheduled for release on September 27.
