Actor Gopichand’s Oxygen was slotted as a Diwali release last year but due to certain unforeseen circumstances, the film could not make it to the theatres. Despite trying to get the film on to the theatres for the past few months, the filmmakers haven’t been successful. And the buzz now is that after a long delay, Oxygen is again scheduled for release this Diwali. Reports suggest that the film may be out at the theatres on October 12.
Directed by Jyothi Krishna, the film has been bankrolled by S Aishwarya and AM Rathnam under the banner Sri Sai Raam Creations. Incidentally, Jyothi Krishna is the son of producer AM Rathnam. The star cast of Oxygen includes Gopichand, Raashi Khanna and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles with Jagapati Babu, Shaam, Chandra Mohan, Sayaji Shinde, Abhimanyu Singh, Sithara, Sudha, Ali and Brahmaji playing supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for this film while Vetri has cranked the camera. It may be mentioned that the film went on to the floors on December 17, 2015 with the muhurat ceremony at the Sri Vishwaroopa Sai Baba Temple in Chennai.
Gopichand made his debut as an actor with Tholi Valapu in 2001 and has acted in various films such as Jayam, Nijam, Varsham, and Souryam. His last outing was Goutham Nanda which did not get positive reviews and bombed at the box office. Following this disaster, Gopichand has been looking forward to a big break in the film industry.
He is currently busy with Aaradugula Bullet which is in the post-production stage. This action entertainer is directed by B Gopal Reddy and produced by Thandra Ramesh under the banner Jaya Balaji Real Media.
