Google has been offering certain resources to the startups under different umbrellas and has now moved all of them into a single site, “Startup with Google”.

The resources include, Firebase, Android Studio, Analytics and the cloud tools and so on. Most of these are Google’s own initiatives, but the new site will encompass some the events run by third parties, though initiated and sponsored by Google. Some of Google’s accelerator programs and campus co-working spaces can also be accessed from the “Startup with Google” site.

In addition to these, the new site features tutorial type content to help the founders of startups. These advocate best practices for the startups on some of the regular activities they will encounter. These include hiring, leadership qualities and how to acquire them and even on the issue of fund raising.

All these must prove to be quite useful for the young men and women who are on the verge of launching their own ventures and would be needing a lot of hand-holding through the initial years. Besides drawing on its in-house resources, say from the ‘re:Work’ project, the site has a wealth of information which can be put to positive use by the startups.

To drive home the point of how effective and beneficial this initiative has been, Google has let out some figures; according to them, $3.9 billion worth funding has been raised by startups using their resources and around 40, 000 jobs have been created. These figures relate to the period from 2011 till now.

Google would be hoping that the latest move to create a single point resource should prove to be even more successful in being of help to startup companies in general and their founders in particular.
