Goodachari and Chi La Sow well received at US box office

Goodachari hit the silver screen in the US and has taken to a good start. The film, starring Adivi Sesh and Sobhita in the lead roles, has had an impressive opening. According to reports, the film’s first weekend’s cumulative gross was $414k. Likewise, Sushanth starrer, Chi La Sow also took to a good opening and its weekend gross was $115k.

Goodachari was directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and bankrolled by Abhishek Picture, People Media Factory and Vista Dream Merchants. Adivi Sesh had penned the story of Goodachari, and the film was written by Abburi Ravi.  Prakash Raj, Vennela Kishore, Madhu Shalini, Ravi Prakash, Supriya Yarlagadda, Rakesh Varre and Anish Kuruvilla form the star cast in supporting roles.

Sricharan Pakala had composed music for this flick with Shaneil Deo wielding the camera and Garry Bh editing it. The film hit the silver screens on August 3 worldwide.

Adivi Sesh who had written the story of Goodachari told in an interview to The Hindu, “I cannot compete with Bond films that have a 40-year legacy and over $200 million budget. Neither can I compete with the home-grown Goodachari 116 starring actor Krishna. But I can pay homage to these.”

Chi La Sow, on the other hand, is a breezy romantic entertainer that has Sushanth and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. The film marked the directorial debut of actor Rahul Ravindran.

The star cast of Chi La Sow also includes Rohini, Anu Haasan, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishnan, Sanjay Swaroop, and Vidyulekha Raman. The film, is all about the 27-year-old hero, played by Sushanth being forced by his family to get married and he meets, who meets the heroine Ruhani Sharma during the process and falls in love. What happens further forms the crux of the film.

The technical crew of the film comprised Prashanth R Vihari for composing music and M Sukumar for cranking the camera. Chi La Sow also hit the marquee on August 3 and is doing well at the box office.
