The News Minute | February 26, 2015 | 4.01 pm IST Kannada actor Malashri has complained to the Bengaluru police that she is being blackmailed for money and that she has even been given death threats.  Initial reports suggest that the Kanasina Rani star Malashri has lodged a complaint with the High Grounds police. In the complaint, she has stated that a person who workers as a caretaker for an apartment she owns in Chennai is blackmailing her.  She has reportedly said that the man is demanding Rs 2 lakh from her, and if she fails to pay up, he would pour acid on her face and even kill her. Malashri started her career as a child artiste, playing the roles of male characters in over 20 films. As an adult she has acted dozens of films in Kannada and Telugu. Her portrayal of an arrogant woman in her debut film Nanjundi Kalyana got her recognition in the Kannada industry. Tweet Follow @thenewsminute
