Initial reports suggest that the Kanasina Rani star Malashri has lodged a complaint with the High Grounds police. In the complaint, she has stated that a person who workers as a caretaker for an apartment she owns in Chennai is blackmailing her. She has reportedly said that the man is demanding Rs 2 lakh from her, and if she fails to pay up, he would pour acid on her face and even kill her.Malashri started her career as a child artiste, playing the roles of male characters in over 20 films. As an adult she has acted dozens of films in Kannada and Telugu.
