Director Parasuram of Geetha Govindam fame reportedly is readying a script for the Baahubali star Prabhas. The director is working on the script and it is in the final stages, we hear. He is expected to give a complete narration to the star as soon as the scripting is done completely. Earlier, Parasuram was in talks with Mahesh Babu but the project did not take off for certain reasons.
UV Creations will be bankrolling the film with Prabhas and it is touted to be a romantic action entertainer. Prabhas is currently in London for the special screening of Baahubali at the Royal Albert Hall and will return to Hyderabad soon for the narration of this film.
The star currently has Jaan needing his focus. The film, directed by KK Radha Krishna, is being bankrolled jointly by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations and Chandrasekar Yeleti has penned the story. It is being shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Amit Trivedi has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick with Manoj Pramahamsa handling the cinematography department.
Prabhas’ last release was the magnum opus Saaho, which released in August this year. The film was directed by Sujeeth and bankrolled by V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs. 300 crores. The film made Rs.130 crore on its opening day worldwide and crossed Rs 370 crore mark worldwide, has performed well on its first week at the box office and its domestic collections have touched nearly Rs 280 crore.
The film is now streaming on OTT Platform Amazon Prime. Interestingly its digital premiere is on the 50th day of the film’s release. While it is speculated that the film's digital rights have been bagged by the OTT platform for a budget of 40+ crores, though there is no official confirmation. Its star cast also included Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas played the male lead in this action entertainer, Shraddha Kapoor played his love-interest. The technical crew of this film included R Madhi for cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad for editing.
