There were reports that Sandalwood star Ganesh will next be seen in the film Chowkidar. But the star has denied it now. According to reports, director Chandrashekar Bandiyappa had approached the star with the one-liner of Chowkidar to which Ganesh had told the director to come up with the full script. However, the director made it to the headlines for revealing that Ganesh had agreed to be a part of his project.

In a media interaction with a section of reporters recently, Ganesh has said that it is true that Chandrashekar came to him with a one-liner but said he did not give his assent to be a part of the film as he wanted to see the entire script before taking a call.

It may be noted here that Ganesh is busy gearing up for the release of Geetha. The shooting of the talkie portions of the film was wrapped up some days ago and it is currently in the post-production stages. The film is directed by debutant Vijay Nagendra, who was an associate of director Santhosh Anandram. It has three heroines in the star cast – Prayaga Martin, Parvathy Arun and Shanvi Srivastava. The film is jointly bankrolled by Ganesh’s Golden Films and producer Syed Salam. The technical crew of this film includes V Harikrishna for music and Sreesha Kuduvalli for cinematography. The trailer of the film is expected to be launched later this month.

Besides Geetha, Ganesh also has Gimmick in his kitty. Touted to be a horror comedy, Gimmick is directed by Naganna. A major portion of the film was shot at a house in Sri Lanka with some portions filmed in Mysuru and Bengaluru. It may be noted here that Gimmick is Ganesh’s first attempt at horror comedy and his fans are waiting eagerly to know the outcome. A scene from this film was unveiled on the official page of Anand Audio and a song was also released as a part of the promotions. The film is bankrolled by Deepak Sami under his banner Sami Pictures.
