Pakistan is the nursery of fast bowlers is not unbeknownst to anyone. But here comes the twist. There is a new kid on the block who can bowl equally well with both arms. Now, that is probably a first of its kind.

Yasir Jan could probably claim to be the first bowler in the world to be ambidextrous. As per a YouTube video that has already garnered close to 90,000 views, he can reportedly bowl at 145kmph with the right arm and at 135kmph with the left arm.

Jan said that he has been doing this since he was a kid and it was Allah’s gift to him.

“I enjoy fast bowling. Mostly, I follow Dale Steyn, Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar.  Be it a right-armer or a left-armer, if I enjoy watching him bowl, I try and copy his bowling action.”

On being asked how he got into cricket, he said that cricket was his passion and seeing Mohammad Amir bowl in 2009 got him into the game.

He was discovered by former Pakistani fast bowler Aaqib Javed and is a product of Pakistan Super League’s Lahore Qalandar’s talent hunt.

The Qalandars have signed Jan on a 10-year developmental contract.

Here is the video.
