Free treatment for cancer patients at government hospitals in Kerala: Chandy

Kerala Chief Minister Ommen Chandy said on Friday that the state government would give free cancer treatement at government hospitals.
Speaking during the Independence Day celebrations at Trivandrum Central Stadium, Chandy said that the scheme was called Sukritham, and would provide free treatment to cancer patients at government hospitals.
He also said that visually impaired children would be given laptops, and that the government would construct houses for 25,000 BPL families at the cost of Rs 3 lakh per house.
