Actor and past Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Pradeep, better known by his screen name ‘Tsunami Kitty’ was arrested along with three others for allegedly kidnapping two people at gunpoint and torturing them in Bengaluru.

Police officials at Jnanabharathi police station arrested Kitty and three of his associates on Friday after they were accused of abducting and assaulting two men including Girish, a waiter at a bar and restaurant in Kottigepalya.

Girish filed a complaint against Tsunami Kitty and his gang claiming Kitty’s friend Sunil was suspicious about his wife having a relationship with Taushiq, a man who frequents the bar. He added that Sunil and Tsunami Kitty planned to abduct the man from the bar when bartender Girish got involved in the scuffle. The gang members eventually abducted him and beat him up on February 28.

Taushiq, who gave them the slip at the bar was also abducted later and both victims were held in a godown in Horamavu.

“Sunil’s wife would often go for dinner with Taushiq to a family restaurant in Mariyappanapalya. As they were regular customers, Girish knew them well and often reserved tables for them. On February 25, the woman and Taushiq were having dinner but suddenly left. Taushiq is said to have called Girish, saying they were in trouble as his partner’s husband had come to know of their visits to the restaurant,” a police official said speaking to Times of India.

After torturing them, they finally let Girish free after taking his wallet, mobile phone and driving license. Girish then contacted the police.

“We have taken up a case against Kitty, Sunil and 12 others, charging them with abduction, attempt to murder, and robbery Prime accused Sunil is absconding and efforts are on to recover the gun used,” said a senior police officer speaking to The Hindu.

The police are also looking for Taushiq.
