The Kerala Shiv Sena unit has reportedly demanded the cancellation performance by Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali, which is scheduled to be held on January 15 in Thiruvananthapuram.

As per media reports Sena has cited Pathankot terror attack as the reason to cancel the program.

“It's time for mourning, not celebration. As part of paying homage to the Malayali officer Lt Col Niranjan Kumar, who lost his life in the ope ration against terrorist attack, the organizers should cancel the programme,” said Sena Kerala Rajya Pramukh M S Bhuvanachandran in a statement on Monday, The Times of India reports.

“The CPM and the party politburo member MA Baby should share the sentiments of the Indians. When the country is facing threat, instead of trying to prove the alleged intolerance in the country, the CPM and its leaders should take a firm stand against terrorism,“ he added.

Ghulam Ali had earlier cancelled his music programmes in Mumbai and Delhi following the threats from Shiv Sena.

The Kerala Shiv Sena leader has also reportedly ctiticised Narendra Modi for his silence on terror attacks at Pathankot. “This attitude of the Prime Minister is doubtful,“ said Bhuvanachandran as per ToI report.
