The Ram Charan Teja starrer Rangasthalam has turned out to be a blockbuster hit! The film, which released on March 30, is a commercial success and opened to positive reviews. The film is recorded as the second biggest hit of Telugu cinema, next only to SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. Following this, the makers are all set to dub the film into several Indian languages.

The film is being dubbed in Malayalam, Tamil, Bhojpuri and Hindi. Several other languages are also under consideration. The film is heading towards Rs 100 crore (share) collection and has crossed 150 crores (Gross). In the first week, the film was standing at the seventh position of highest grossing Telugu films.

Directed by Sukumar, Rangasthalam is a village-based action drama that has Ram Charan playing a village lad for the first time in his career. Always seen as a suave youngster in his films earlier, his fans certainly loved him in his new avatar. Samantha Akkineni, the female lead in the film, shared screen space with the hero for the first time. This raised the expectation levels for Rangasthalam and their on-screen chemistry was one of the factors for its success.

Recently, a special screening for Ram Charan’s uncle and Power Star Pawan Kalyan was organised at the Prasad Multiplex and he raved about his nephew’s performance and wished the team well. Soon after the screening, Pawan Kalyan met media persons waiting outside and said, “This is a great film. Ram Charan came up with brilliant performance. Sukumar’s story and narration is marvellous. This is one film that touched my heart. Will talk more about the film at movie’s success event.”

Rangasthalam has been bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Sankar and Mohan Cherukuri under the banner Mythri Movie Makers. Music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad with R Rathnavelu cranking the camera and Navin Nooli editing it.
