E-commerce giant Flipkart has apologised for sending an email, which reeked of sexism, to a female customer recently.
On August 29, Twitter user Richa Kaul Padte posted a screenshot of a promotional email she had received from Flipkart.
Thanks for this piece of sexist shit email @Flipkart pic.twitter.com/EHdI5PefcF

The post was widely shared and also criticised by social media users and on Sunday Flipkart replied to Padte's tweet saying,
@hirishitalkies, thanks for bringing this to our notice. We do not endorse the content of this email. We will investigate this & take action

Punit Soni, Flipkart's chief product officer, also responded to Padte on Twitter and apologised on the organisation's behalf.
@hirishitalkies Unconditional apologies. We do not endorse the insensitive remarks in the email. This is a big fail, will not happen again.
