The first look poster of the Malayalam film Pattabhiraman was released online. The colorful poster features its lead star Jayaram and also has Baiju, Dharmajan, Sheelu Abraham, Hareesh Kanaran, Miya George, Ramesh Pisharody and Prem Kumar in the background.

Kannan Thamarakkulam is wielding the megaphone for this venture with Dinesh Pallath scripting it. Abraham Mathew is bankrolling the project under his banner Abaam Movies. The film is touted to be a fun entertainer that will also have a social message for the audience. In the movie, Jayaram will be playing a government officer.

Kannan has directed five films so far of which three have Jayaram in the lead. Reports are that Pattabhiraman will have Thiruvananthapuram as its backdrop. In an earlier interview to the Times of India, the director said, “He (Jayaram) plays a government employee. The story starts with him buying a plot in the capital city and arriving there to settle down. His journey and struggles complete the film, which will also reveal some shocking truths about how contemporary politics also has a commercial side to it.”

While Pattabhiraman is under progress, Jayaram is expecting the release of Marconi Mathai. In the film, directed by Sanil Kalathil, Jayaram is playing an ex-army man working as a security guard in a bank. Reports are that radio plays a pivotal character in the film and Marconi stands for its inventor Guglielmo Marconi. Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi will be making his debut in the Malayalam film industry with this flick. The actor has earlier revealed that he will be making a guest appearance in Marconi Mathai, as himself.

The technical crew of Marconi Mathai includes Sajan Kalathil as the cinematographer, M Jayachandran as the music composer and Shameer Muhammed as the editor. The film is bankrolled under the banner Satyam Audios. It is a bilingual that will be made in Tamil and Malayalam given the popularity of its lead stars Jayaram and Vijay Sethupathi in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries.
