The first look of the Pranav Mohanlal starrer Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu is out and is going viral among netizens. The poster features the lead star and he looks stylish, sporting a suit. The film is set for release next year. Incidentally, the first look poster was released online on the Facebook page by actor Tovino Thomas. The shooting of Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu has been wrapped up and all that remains now is the post production which is happening in full swing.

In Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu, Pranav Mohanlal plays a surfer and he has undergone basic training in Bali to get into the skin of the character. It has Rachel David making her debut as heroine.

Incidentally, the title looks like a sequel to the 1987 movie Irupatham Nootandu in which Pranav’s dad Mohanlal had played the lead. But director Arun Gopy had made it clear on a Facebook post that it is not a follow-up to the movie directed by his mentor K Madhu.

The film’s technical crew is very impressive as well. Gopi Sunder is scoring the music for this film and Hari Narayanan is penning the lyrics. Abinandan Ramanjunam is cranking the camera and National Award winning editor Vivek Harshan will be handling the film’s editing. Sound designer Renganaath Ravee, stunt coordinator Peter Hein and art director Joseph Nellickal are also part of the technical team.

Expectations are high on Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu as it happens to be the second film for both director Arun Gopy and hero Pranav Mohanlal. Their respective maiden films had turned out be blockbuster successes.

According to reports, the film has been shot extensively at Cape Town in South Africa, and Goa, Pala, Kanjirapally and Hyderabad in India. With the shooting wrapped, plans are on to release Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu on January 25th to cash in on the long Republic Day weekend.
